Total loss at first report
If your vehicle's written off when first reported, we may ask you to send us any images.
Our salvage agent will collect your vehicle from it's current location.
Our engineer will value your vehicle, taking into account its mileage and pre-accident condition.
If your vehicle's on finance, you'll need to tell your car finance company you give us permission to discuss the settlement figure with them. Any outstanding finance, in line with our pre accident valuation, will be paid directly to them before we can issue any payment you may be due. If the settlement figure is lower than your outstanding balance, you'll be responsible for any outstanding payment to the finance company.
We'll be in touch to discuss the value and make payment. If we can't get hold of you, we'll make a provisional payment to avoid delays.
We'll send you a letter to confirm all figures and information, including how to change ownership of the vehicle with the DVLA and what to do with your vehicle documents.

Your vehicle has gone to a repairer but it's been written off.
Our engineer will determine its pre-accident value using the estimate and images before our salvage agent collects the vehicle.
We'll be in touch to discuss the fact your car's been written off and the value that's been placed on it. If your using one of our recommended repairers, please arrange collection of any belongings.
